Currently exploring the Siguiri and Balandougouba gold projects within the highly prospective Birimian Gold Belt of northeast Guinea.

West Africa ranks as one of the top gold regions in the world and the Guinea portion of the belt is one of the most under-explored.

Overview  |  Image Gallery  |  Maps  |  Technical Reports

The Balandougouba project (250 km2) contains a number (5) of targets associated with north-northeast trending gold-in-soil and VTEM anomalies. The project is located approximately 250 km south of Bamako near the border with Mali and is accessible by highway (N.6 and N.7). The mineralization is hosted in Birimian sediments and volcaniclastic rocks. Historic drilling has focused on the Sidikila and Jade prospects with scout drilling at Gberekole, Mandiantri and Moussa Woule. Sidikila is located 10 km northwest of Goldfield’s Yanofila exploration project.

Historic exploration programs include:

  • Soil survey (12,000 samples)
  • Pit sampling (1,500 samples)
  • IP (43.5 line km)
  • Airborne magnetics (313 km2)
  • Airborne VTEM (138 km2)
  • Drilling (AC & RAB – 7,816m, RC – 20,074m)

A NI43-101 compliant resource estimate for the Sidikila prospect has been carried out based the historical exploration data and verifying results。See table below:
